The branch of psychology that studies humans in the workplace and attempts to apply general psychological principles to workplaces to improve productivity and to improve working circumstances for those employed. I/O psychology stresses the study of motivation, group processes and organizational effectiveness, personnel selection, training, employee evaluation, and leadership.
