Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

n. (MBTI) A personality inventory developed to measure Jungian polarities of introversion-extroversion, thinking-feeling, and sensing-intuiting, to which the polarity of judging-perceiving has been added. Subjects' responses are used to assign them to one or the other end of each polarity and then assigned to 1 of the 16 possible types formed by the four polarities. The MBTI is probably the most widely used personality measure in the world, in industrial, academic, and clinical applications.
