Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales

n. A test battery intended to assess an individual's social competence with measures of communication, daily living skills, socialization, and motor skills. A structured interview or a set of rating scales filled out by a parent or caregiver is scored to diagnose dementia, brain injury, autism, mental retardation, or other developmental disabilities. The recent form of the scales can be used for newborns to persons aged 90.
