central fissure
n. Fold in the cortex separating the frontal and parietal lobes. It is also referred to as the Rolandic fissure, fissure of Rolando, or central sulcus. It is located in front of the primary motor area (Brodmann's area 4) and behind the primary somatosensory area (Brodmann's areas 3, 1, and 2).
