simple schizophrenia

n. One of the four main types of schizophrenia in Kraepelin's system of classification, which has the symptoms of social withdrawal, low motivation and initiative, and apathy which would today be called flattened affect. This system has been supplanted by the APA's DSM-IV-TR and the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), which use different and changing systems of classification.
