Weber-Fechner law
n. The idea that to increase a subjective perception of a stimulus a fi xed amount, the absolute intensity of the stimulus must increase exponentially, following the formula \(s = k\log I\) (where \(s\) is the sensory magnitude, \(k\) is a constant and \(I\) is the physical intensity of the stimulus).
