validity, incremental

n. Incremental validity is the extent to which a test adds to the predictive validity already provided by other measures. Incremental validity is driven by the belief that use of multiple information sources increases the validity of the assessment. Incremental validity can be enhanced via use of clear, precise operational definitions of the full content domain; integration of multiple items utilizing alternate formats; use of test items that represent single components; and reduction of complex constructs into their basic components. – BJM
