seminal vesicles
n. The two pouches about 3 inches long in human males which secrete and store most of the fluid in ejaculate and are located between the bladder and the rectum and connected to the ejaculatory duct of the prostate gland. The fluid secreted by the seminal vesicles contains proteins, enzymes, fructose, and other nutrients. The fructose provides nutrient energy for the spermatozoa as they travel through the female reproductive system to the ovaries.
