oculomotor nerve

n. Either of the third pair of cranial nerves which control the muscles which move the eye, alter its shape to focus it, constrict the pupil to control the amount of light entering the eye, and control the eyelid. The oculomotor nerve leads from the eye muscles to several centers in the midbrain near the superior colliculus.
