stem-and-leaf display

n. A graphical method of presenting data in which the first digit or two digits serve as a stem or category for a table and the remaining digits (leaves) are listed in order beside the stems so that the whole resembles a sideways histogram. Hence the data list 100, 102, 117, 117, 118, 128, 129, 130 would be presented thus:
