personal project

An extended set of actions related to an individually selected goal which is derived from the basic personality of the individual in interaction with his or her unique environment and which can vary in meaningfulness, management style, social approval, likelihood of success, and stress or burden to the individual. Personal projects are a middle level of analysis in personality psychology between enduring traits and reactions to the immediate environment.
