Wechsler-Bellevue scale

n. An intelligence test battery devised by David Wechsler using U.S. Army Alpha and Beta tests as a basis while he was employed at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. The battery has subsequently been revised several times and was the basis for the contemporary Wechsler Scales of Intelligence.
