Coolidge effect

n. Increased sexual desire, decreased latency between sexual acts, and increased instances of sexual intercourse when multiple sexual partners are present. This is attributed to former President Calvin Coolidge in an urban legend which asserts that on a visit to a chicken farm, Coolidge's wife remarked on the high frequency with which a rooster mated and President Coolidge asked an aide to point out to his wife that the rooster was having sex with a different hen each time.
