Zwaardemaker olfactometer

n. A glass tube open on both ends, one of which was inserted in the nostril while the other was connected to a tube filled with a measured amount of a substance to be smelled. The amount of the substance to be smelled was controlled by the length of the Zwaardemaker tube.
