source amnesia
n. Memory defect in which certain information can be recalled, but it is impossible to recall the source or origin of that information (i.e., source memory: memory for the broad contextual aspects surrounding the memory of an event). Source amnesia is considered as an explicit memory (declarative) disorder, particularly an episodic memory deficit. Source memory is affected by aging more than fact or event memory. Source memory has been related to the frontal lobe and medial temporal lobe structures. – AA
