n. A type of older antipsychotic drug including haloperidol used primarily in cases of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder with psychotic features, and extreme agitation. This class of drugs has high rates of extrapyramidal symptoms, tardive dyskinesia, and neuroleptic malignant syndrome.
