n. 1. Any attempt to gain advantage in a war by manipulating the minds of either side in the conflict or uninvolved parties to the benefit of one's own side. This includes morale boosting, propaganda, control of information, and attempts to change the attitudes of both sides in the war. 2. A general application of techniques derived from the use of psychological methods in war to business or other relationships.
