Any of the three basic body/mind types described by William Sheldon in his constitutional psychology, which includes the mesomorph, whose body is dominated by muscle and bone and whose character is aggressive and domineering; the endomorph, whose body is dominated by internal organs and character is dominated by seeking comfort and sociability; and the ectomorph, whose body is dominated by the skin and nervous system and whose character is nervous, intellectual, and withdrawing.
