psychological test

n. A standardized scale or set of scales used to measure an attribute of mind, usually composed of numerous individual items to which a subject is asked to respond. Criteria of psychological tests include the consistency of the scale in measuring (reliability) and the accuracy with which test scores reflect the actual psychological attribute the test is intended to measure (validity).
