set, response
n. 1. In testing, a bias in which there is a tendency to answer in a systematic way that is unrelated to item content, such as using only the middle range of responses on a multiplechoice test or marking mostly true answers on a true-false scale. 2. In general, a list of all possible or past responses from among which a response to a present situation is chosen, as in a basketball point guard's tendency to move to her/his right instead of the left when dribbling the ball.
