ibogaine

n. A hallucinogenic drug found in the root of Tabernanthe iboga, an African forest plant. It is an extremely potent hallucinogen whose mechanism of action is unknown and whose effects may last as long as 3 days. It has been used in religious ceremonies for many generations by the indigenous people, especially among the Bouiti.
