Edwards Personal Preference Schedule

n. A forced-choice self-report personality inventory in which takers are required to select which of each of 225 paired choices they prefer. The choices consist of pairings of examples of fifteen of Edward Murray's basic needs. The relative preferences of needs to one another are then computed, as are norms for preferences on each of the needs, so both ipsative and normative data are provided for feedback. The test also includes a consistency scale in which responses on identical items are compared with one another.
