cross-cultural counseling
n. A process of counseling which takes into account the diversity of clients including their different cultures, ethnicities, spiritualities, sexualities, classes, economic situations, group histories, and social position relative to the dominant culture and that of the therapist and attempts to account for the cultural point of view of the therapist in such a way as to allow a meeting of minds to occur.
