Bunsen-Roscoe law

n. The observation that the reaction of any photoreactive chemical or pigment is a function of the intensity and duration of the light to which it is exposed at least within certain ranges. This has been used in developing films and is true of biological physical systems in the brief periods after a flash of light and before adaptation takes place. Also known as Bloch's law.
