Bem Sex Role Inventory

n. (BSRI) A measure of masculine and feminine sex roles which adopts the point of view that sex roles are two independent positive social coping strategies. Because they are independent an individual can be above average on both, above average on only one, or below average on both. Persons who are above average on both are designated androgynous, those high on only one are designated masculine or feminine as appropriate, and those below average on both are designated as undifferentiated.
