assimilator
n. A person who uses inductive reasoning to elaborate abstract concepts to encompass new experience, i.e., an experiential learning style. Assimilators are contrasted with accommodators, who focus on the environment and readily change their schema; convergers, who fit new information into old concepts; and divergers, who use a brainstorming approach to discover new ideas to fit experience.
