n. An individual usually with an advanced degree in psychology or educational psychology who applies the findings and methods of psychology in the field of education, usually working in schools. Testing is the primary function of the school psychologist, and they tend also to be involved in diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of behavioral problems of schoolchildren.
