medial forebrain bundle

n. (MFB) Either of a pair of nerve tracts which constitute the most important pleasure centers in the brain, which lie on each side of the hypothalamus and connect the ventral tegmentum to the nucleus accumbens, amygdala, septum, and prefrontal cortex.
