major epilepsy
n. A chronic brain disorder characterized by uncontrolled electrical activity in the brain which produces full body convulsions, loss of consciousness, and loss of bodily control over bladder and bowels. Brain trauma is the most common known cause of epilepsy, but in many cases the cause is unknown. Also called grand mal or psychomotor epilepsy.
