n. 1. A perfect correspondence or match among all the parts of two or more physical bodies, mathematical or logical statements, or problems or grammatical forms. 2. In Gestalt psychology, the assumption that for every perception there is an analogous neurophysiological representation of the perception. 3. In psycholinguistics, the relationship between one linguistic form and another, as in a printed word and its spoken form.
