enuresis
n. Repeated involuntary urination in inappropriate places after the age at which voluntary bladder control is expected within the culture. It may occur during the day (diurnal) or at night (nocturnal or bedwetting). Nocturnal enuresis is related to the growth of the bladder to a size which is large enough to hold the urine throughout the night and which is quite variable, so that some children can hold their urine through the night as early as 2 years while others cannot do so until they are 5 or even 6 years old. It is also related to poor toilet training and stress.
