CVC trigram

n. A string of three letters composed of a consonant, vowel, and consonant (CVC) in that order such as zib, dog, or mun, which may or may not constitute a word in English or other language. CVCs have often been used as stimuli in memory and forced-choice tasks in cognitive psychology.
