A syndrome of panicky outbursts in which the individual experiences a sense of heat or pressure in the chest and head and a sense of loss of control which leads to intermittent periods of weeping mixed with verbal or physical aggression, shaking, fainting, and occasional seizurelike behavior, all of which is followed by amnesia.
